The Fiat 500X is each equipped with a 1.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine making 177 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque. A 9-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels helping the 500X achieve 26 mpg combined gas mileage and plenty of acceleration for passing on the freeway. Fiat employs the latest FCA technology such as exclusive MultiAir (called MultiAir III) valve-actuation technology, and engine stop-start (ESS) technology to further improve engine response and drivability. It comes standard with an advanced hydraulic suspension system that combines MacPherson W/coil spring in front and Chapman strut w/coil springs at the rear. Despite being the most basic trim Pop models still come well equipped. Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, remote start, a rearview camera, height-adjustable front seats, a fold-flat front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth, a 7-inch touchscreen, 3 USB ports, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, and a 6-speaker sound system. The Sport trim adds paddle shifters, 18-inch alloy wheels with performance tires, premium cloth seats, ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and a sport steering wheel. With safety a continued priority amongst the Fiat brand and their models, they include an Advanced Driver Assistance package. Still an available option that adds adaptive cruise control, Blind-spot Monitoring, and Cross-path Detection with a Forward-collision Warning system. Additional safety and driver assistance technologies part of the 2022 Fiat 500X include airbags, Front and Rear Park Assist, Lane Sense, Lane Departure Warning-Plus and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
