The 2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive is powered by an electric motor that makes 177 horsepower and 256 pound-feet of torque. Though the B-Class is no sports car, its relatively powerful motor ensures that the car doesn't suffer from being a slow-poke, like many of the other green cars on the market. Mercedes claims a range of about 85 miles for the B-Class, making it ideal for buyers who may have a longer commute and proving that the vehicle is more than just a city car. The B-Class is also quick to charge, with Mercedes claiming that a 2-hour charge should be enough for about 60 miles of driving.
Standard features on the B-Class Electric Drive include 17-inch alloy wheels, a 5.8-inch color screen, a hands-free Bluetooth interface, a navigation system that responds to voice commands, a 14-way power adjustable driver's seat, ambient interior lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, an attention assist system to keep the driver awake, LED daytime running lamps and LED taillights.
A Premium Package includes bi-xenon headlights, heated front seats, a Harman/Kardon sound system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a garage door opener and SiriusXM satellite radio.
The Multimedia Package includes a backup camera, a bigger 7-inch display and 10GB of hard drive space for music. Leather upholstery is also available with an Interior Package that also features some additional upholstering around the doors and the dashboard.
