Volvo XC40 Recharge
The Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric comes in three different trims the Twin Core, Twin Plus and Twin Ultimate. Its powered by a 78 kWh battery combined with 2 electric motors to produce an output of 402 horsepower. Its capable of travelling 254 miles on a full charge and at a 150 kW DC charging station, you can charge the battery from zero to around 80 per cent in approximately 40 minutes (or around 80?100 km range in 10 minutes). Just enough time to take a rest and have a meal. The rear-wheel driver model produces 248 horsepower with a range of 293 miles.
The most basic XC40 Recharge Pure Electric trim is dubbed the Twin Core trim. Since it's still a bit of a luxury vehicle, basic amenities are pretty nice and include items such as a 9-inch display, Bluetooth, a power operated liftgate, smartphone integration, rear parking sensors, LED headlights, a powered driver seat with a memory function, 19-inch wheels and tinted windows.
The next step up is the Twin Plus which adds a power sunroof, power folding side mirrors, LED front fog lights, power front seats, and a garage door opener.
Ultimate model which adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a heated rear seat, adaptive cruise control, surround view camera and an upgraded 13-speaker sound system.
Safety features across the lineup include parking sensors, an active lane departure warning system, forward and rear collision mitigation, pedestrian detection, a driver attention monitor, and a traffic sign recognition system.
