Volvo XC60 Recharge
The all-wheel drive Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid comes in several trim levels, Inscription, Inscription Expression, R-Design and Polestar Engineered both available in standard and extended range. The XC60 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine that makes 312 horsepower, while the Polestar version produces 328 horsepower. With the addition of the electric motor the power increases to 400 and 455 horsepower.
The most basic trim level for the XC60 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid is the Inscription Expression trim, which comes well-equipped with standard features that include 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof with a power sunshade, dual-zone climate control, a 10-way power front driver's seat, heated front seats, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and 11-speaker sound system.
The midlevel trim is dubbed R-Design and features bold styling details meant to make the XC60 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid look sleeker and sportier. The R-Design Recharge Plug-in Hybrid includes a unique front grille, mesh metal inlays, 19-inch wheels, a painted bumper, dual tailpipes. Inside, there are various R-Design badges and a very nice R-Design steering wheel to grip as well as leather seating surfaces. The R-Design also gets several drive mode settings for increasing the sportiness of the vehicle on twisty country roads or a racetrack.
The Inscription trim is priced fairly and similar to the R-Design, but where the R-Design goes for sport, the Inscription goes for luxury. The Inscription features more exterior brightwork than its siblings, along with a unique mesh front grille. Inside, the Inscription gets a three-zone climate control system, nicer seats and driftwood inlays, adding a touch of class to the interior of the mid-sized SUV.
Safety features such as seven airbags, a rear-view camera, Volvo On-Call emergency SOS, parking sensors, an active lane departure warning system, active blind spot warning, forward and rear collision mitigation, a pedestrian detection system, a driver attention alert, and a traffic sign information system.
